Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of this website and to quotations, bookings, and services provided by Nick's Green Trees.
Last updated: 14 June 2026
1. About us
Nick's Green Trees provides tree surgery and related outdoor services to residential and other customers in North West London and nearby areas.
By using this website or booking our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Website use
You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not use it in a way that could damage the site, interfere with its operation, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it.
All content on this website is provided for general information only and may be updated or changed without notice.
3. Quotations
Any quotation we provide is based on the information available at the time, including your description of the work, any photos supplied, and, where applicable, a site inspection.
Unless otherwise stated, quotations are estimates and may be revised if the scope of work changes, site conditions differ from those described, access is restricted, hidden issues are discovered, or additional work is requested.
A quotation does not create a binding contract until it has been accepted and we have confirmed the booking.
4. Scope of work
We will carry out only the work set out in the accepted quotation or otherwise agreed in writing.
Any additional work requested by the customer may result in extra charges and may require a revised quotation.
5. Permissions and customer responsibilities
The customer is responsible for ensuring that all necessary permissions, consents, and approvals are in place before work starts, unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
This includes, where relevant, permissions relating to property ownership, boundary issues, Tree Preservation Orders, conservation area controls, landlord consent, neighbour permissions, or any other applicable restrictions.
The customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the site and must inform us in advance of any known hazards, restrictions, or special requirements.
6. Scheduling and delays
Booking dates and times are estimates and may need to change due to weather, safety concerns, emergency call-outs, staff availability, equipment issues, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We will aim to give reasonable notice where a booking needs to be rescheduled.
7. Tree work and natural variation
Tree surgery involves living materials and natural conditions, so no guarantee is given that a tree, hedge, stump, or root system will respond in a particular way after pruning, reduction, removal, or any other work.
We are not responsible for natural movement, regrowth, disease, decay, pest activity, hidden defects, or pre-existing structural weakness unless caused by our negligence.
8. Waste, logs, and woodchip
Unless otherwise stated in the quotation, arisings, branches, timber, logs, woodchip, and green waste will be removed from site as part of the service.
If you would like logs or woodchip left on site, this should be agreed in advance.
9. Payment terms
Payment is due in accordance with the terms stated on the quotation or invoice.
We may require a deposit for certain jobs, especially larger works, specialist equipment bookings, or scheduled multi-day works.
Late payment may result in delayed scheduling, withholding of future work, or reasonable recovery action.
10. Cancellations
If you need to cancel or postpone a booking, please give as much notice as possible.
We reserve the right to charge for costs already incurred, including wasted travel, hired equipment, disposal bookings, or labour that cannot reasonably be reassigned, particularly where short notice is given.
11. Customer property
While reasonable care will be taken, the customer is responsible for removing or protecting fragile, valuable, or easily damaged items in the work area before work begins.
This includes garden ornaments, pots, furniture, vehicles, cables, glass items, and other movable property.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, our liability for any claim arising out of the provision of services or use of the website shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the relevant service, to the extent permitted by law.
We shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or losses arising from events outside our reasonable control.
13. Insurance
We maintain insurance appropriate to our business activities, but any claim remains subject to the terms, limits, exclusions, and approval of the relevant insurer.
14. Intellectual property
All text, branding, logos, graphics, and other content on this website remain the property of Nick's Green Trees or its licensors unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or distribute website content without prior written permission, except for normal personal use.
15. Privacy
Our use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which should be read alongside these Terms & Conditions.
16. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any part of our service, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can review the issue and try to resolve it promptly.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always appear on this page with the revised “Last updated” date.
18. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales unless applicable law provides otherwise.
